My Feedback:

Rev. Nat’s Valley of the Pear cider has an attractive amber straw color, and the nose reminds me of an orange creamsicle and Dutch apple pie. In the nose there is lots of creamy vanilla, but not as much pear as I expected. Mmm. It’s hard to know where to start. Let’s go with smoothness though: it is almost buttery with its viscous creamy mouthfeel from the vanilla. Savory spices mellow what is otherwise a fairly sweet finish. There is a considerable amount of pear flavor in there and the balance of dessert and cider pears make it interesting and not too sweet. It is like each time you lick your lips you get a slightly different taste. I also detect citrus notes in this and what feels like tiny lime kick, though I can’t really explain it. Really, really well done. I knew there was a reason I have had to wait this long for a Rev. Nat’s perry, because he probably wanted it just right. It was worth the wait.

Product Description:

When my friend Mahka told me about how the Vainakh of the Northern Caucasus worship pear trees, I had to create my own celebration. Oregon grows the best Bartlett pears in the world, so I’ve used that variety, blended with a pinch of rosemary plus a hint of vanilla and spices.
