St. Vrain Cidery
Grade: 80 B-
This bubbly straw cider primarily has a sugary tart apple smell with a strong undertone of guava. Hmm, okay. It is sharp, crisp and light from the first sip, but doesn’t pack much of a punch and just kinda loses it’s flavor in the middle. You do get a bit of bitter melon and some subtle guava in the middle phase with a tartness that builds to the finish. It is a bit too sharp for the body which is a smidge watery. The flavor is nice but not super bold and I get more melon than guava and a generic citric tartness at the end. A good cider, I’d take another, but it doesn’t grab one’s attention the way a guava cider could have.
Pink Guava is fermented in our Dry Apple cider to create this tart, tropical refresher.
