My Feedback:

First off, I have to say that I think these black and silver cans are poppin! Well done C Squared. In the glass the drink itself has just a couple of bubbles clinging to the side of the glass. It has a magnificent nose of bittersweet apples with hints of cherry and a subtle oakiness from the barrel ageing. The finish on this is legit! There is this lingering aftertaste that comes up softly from the back of the throat to create a creamy caramel reprise. The mouthfeel is very smooth, but it has a very heavy body. It draws in super easy, but the depth of flavors makes you slow down a bit. The middle phase will fill the space of your palate with a mild oakiness and just enough sweetness to kind of suck your tongue. It definitely reminds me of some good ciders I’ve tried from the Northwest France and the English West Counties and in some ways feels like a cross of those two traditions—soft and subtle yet strong and complex. The finish has such great kick of alcohol and a punch of apple flavor and yet still incredibly well balanced. If you like light and sweet its maybe not your drink, nor is it the best for pairing with food, but if you want a serious drink for a session, this is as good as an apple gets in liquid form for such occasions, unless you bump up to a distilled or fortified cider.
