Snow Capped Cider
Grade: 87.5 B+
This cider has a clear nose of sour cherries, but it is not overly strong. That’s properly sour! So, it starts off with a good bit of pop: crisp on the tongue with a nice mix of bubbles and acidity. The flavor then drops out with a nice dry sensation and just a smidge of that cherry flavor. It then takes a sour turn with a finish that will have you sucking your tongue pretty hard. The body is medium-to-light, and the mouthfeel is quite nice. In the sour finish one picks up the slightest of alcohol burn, giving it a bit of an edge. But it’s a well-balanced cider to drink if you’re good with sour things. This one puts the sour in sour cherry.
Sour cherry shines through this apple – cherry blend, powerful flavor that hangs on the dry side of semi sweet. Natural blush color, medium structure, tart finish.
