Colorado+49
Grade: 84 B
Colorado+49s Spiced Blood Orange is a hazy dark salmon color with a light and sweet nose with only a faint orange aroma. This lighter-bodied cider is pretty still and lacks much of a punch. It is fairly bright and easy to drink with a nice amount of sweetness. You get some clear citric acidity in the second phase and some grapefruit characteristics. This does not have the body of some of the cider mimosas on the market, as it is crisper and does not have that orange juice flavor and texture. I would say it also lacks a clear spice flavor—not sure what spice they put in—and I do wish it was bolder. But overall, a solid orange cider that is light, mildly sweet, and goes down easy.
